I've heard that ["You're All Alone!"] is good in 1-on-1. As a ranger I would take a pet just to counter the possibility. Heck, as a ranger I might take YAA! myself!

@Snaek: I think you missed "Hunter's Shot".
Oh, and Mending Touch > YAA when you can just Apply - (conditions on you) MTouch - Natural Stride - Hunter's Shot - Kite - Kite - Kite - MTouch conditions - Hunter's - Kite - Kite etc...

i think u missed "blocking"
and even if not blocked...
that alone is not nuff dmg to kill a war wit condition removal and self-heal
and yaa is not very good in 1v1...
its good in team pvp in a 1v1 confrontation
in 1v1...especially war vs ranger
u should expect condition removal

Apply Poison and Hunter's are spammable, which allows you to repaply the condition at will and if blocked get to the point where you can apply it. Cripshot can also go against blocking too, so yeah...
If the Warrior uses Mending Touch, attempt to D-Shot it to keep it out of play for 26 seconds.

Hunter's Shot doesn't exactly make you happy if the W has already Death's Charged on top of you and used YAA! (good luck trying to interrupt either of those).
All I'm saying here is that if you go in expecting an easy win because everybody knows that rangers pawn warriors in 1-on-1 you might be in for a surprise. Although nobody runs an anti-ranger in general PvP the standard ranger templates can be countered just like everything else if you know in advance that you'll be facing a ranger in 1-on-1.
Edit: also, degen doesn't exactly work well against a YAA! warrior with Signet of Malice ... again good luck trying to interrupt a 1/4 sec cast.
Edit2: Natural Glide isn't a panacea either ... skills like Enduring Toxin or Mirrored Stance end it or even turn it against you (did I mention the 1/4 sec cast time?).

once they death's charge on top of you and use Yaa, you hit Natural stride, mending touch, and start kiting.
You can drop cripshot on him faster than signet of malice recharges. And, you can try to anticipate his sig malice (I've d-shot a few 1/4th casts that way).

Ranger vs W/Mo Kite until warrior is out of energy for Mtouch or you D-shot Mtouch
Ranger vs W/A Watch for teleport, Kite immediately, interrupt first attack if needbe, easier since shadowstepping has changed.
Warriors are always going to be expected to lose in 1v1. This is because they only have one way of dealing damage and there are more skills to counter warrior's damage than counters for any other class. The only way for a warrior to win in this situation is to find a gimmick that the ranger does not initially recognize. Your standard W/Mo or W/A builds are not going to do that. Once the ranger figures out how to deal with your builds, and a good ranger build will be able to deal with it, then you have lost.

depends on warrior secondary profession basiclly.....if i were war i'd take [melandru's resilience] against a ranger, then [wild blow] to remove stances, an interrupt and attacks skills.

Um no. Any warrior not half retarded would bring condition/ maybe stance removal when fighting a Ranger.
All a Ranger needs is degen, interrupts, some way to get through blocks, movement control, and MAYBE need natural stride for the points where something unexpected happens.
I.E: Cripshot build.

A warrior simply should not be able to win against a ranger. Rangers have superior kiting ability, can kill from range, and shouldnt let him get out a single heal sig. I still maintain the EDA is the best option, because they cant do anything to stop it. Hit with called shot on recharge, and no condition removal will be able to keep up with it, unless they run W/Me IW, which in itself is retarded

Warriors are pretty easy to beat as a ranger. Just prepared to get called a coward by said warrior since it involves the hit and run tactic. A fun way to beat any warrior is to go in with Apply,Hunters shot, Natural stride, and dshot. You outrun him, hit him with hunters while he is chasing you for 7 degen, and then dshot lions/healsig. Cheap but effective. Rest of the skills are whatever but you should include an additional interrupt for his condition removal ( if he brings it ) and a condition removal for yourself for YAA and other crap..
But like the others have said, easiest way to beat a warrior is toucher.
